In celebration of the first day of spring on the lunar calendar, BNP Paribas is pleased to hold a spring bazaar today in collaboration with the leading social enterprise Beautiful Store. All the proceeds from the bazaar will be donated to a meaningful programme that provides emotional support to socially neglected children.
In support of this event held at the Seoul Station branch of Beautiful Store, BNP Paribas employees have donated over 1,400 secondhand goods such as baby clothes, toys, books and shoes for the charity sale. Including 30 employees who act as volunteers to help out at the bazaar, a total of 70 employees contributed for this event.
Joris Dierckx, Country Head of BNP Paribas Korea, said: “As a leading global banking and financial group, BNP Paribas embraces a strong commitment to corporate social responsibility in every market it operates in, including Korea. Beautiful Store dedicates a lot to promote the awareness of environmental protection and support the socially vulnerable groups, which are also the issues that we in BNP Paribas are very concerned about. Therefore, many colleagues are very happy that they have the chance to provide support to this exceptional spring bazaar.”
Having a long-term commitment to providing support to socially-neglected children in Korea, BNP Paribas has been holding a charity bazaar every year since 2011, including “Good White Day with Cardif” in 2011, “Sharing-Love Charity Bazaar” in 2012, and “Green Eco Day Bazaar” in 2013.
