BNP Paribas Cardif Life Insurance, the Korean subsidiary of BNP Paribas Cardif, the insurance arm of BNP Paribas sponsored a group of children from the Dongmyung Child Welfare Center to enjoy a child musical ‘Daddy! I Love You’ on June 26. It aimed to inspire the creativity and imagination of the children through performing arts.

BNP Paribas Cardif Life Insurance sponsored a total of 30 people to watch the musical, which included a number of children aged from two to four from the welfare centre and their teachers, as well as some employees of the insurer who acted as volunteers to help take care of the children during the outing. Those children were also engaged in a variety of sport activities supported by BNP Paribas Group’s Help2Help programme.

‘Daddy! I Love You’ is a musical allowing the audience to participate in the performance giving children and parents or guardians the experience of singing and dancing with the actors together. The organisers of the show – ‘Interpark’ an online shopping mall, and ‘Waysbe’ a production company – also helped line-up a meeting between the starring actors and the children after the performance. They also gave each child a souvenir doll of the main character in the musical, which was a cuddly rabbit.

Jean-Christophe Darbes, CEO of BNP Paribas Cardif Life Insurance, said: “BNP Paribas Cardif Life Insurance seeks to take a step beyond simply donating money to the charities. We are also eager to provide various opportunities for those in need, especially children, to explore a wider world which they may not be able to do so without others’ support. Arts help inspire people’s hearts. We hope the experience will help unleash the imagination of the children and give them some pleasant memories.”
