BNP Paribas will hold a charity bazaar under the theme of ‘More than Valentine’s’ at the Beautiful Store Anguk Branch on 12 February (Friday).

This charity bazaar is jointly organised by BNP Paribas in Korea – including four entities, namely BNP Paribas Seoul Branch, BNP Paribas Securities Korea, BNP Paribas Cardif Life Insurance and BNP Paribas Cardif General Insurance – as part of the Group’s ongoing efforts since 2011 in supporting the socially neglected children together with Beautiful Store, an NGO dedicated to promoting a sense of community care by carrying out eco-friendly initiatives through sales of second-hand goods.

This year, under the theme of More than Valentine’s, BNP Paribas will extend the traditional Valentine’s Day spirit of expressing love with meaningful gifts.  Visitors of the bazaar will be given a chocolate thank-you gift for participating in this charitable effort.  In addition, a message board will be set up at the bazaar where visitors can leave messages of hope and encouragement on memos, which will be sent along with some chocolate gifts to the children in need.

Philippe Noirot, Country Head for BNP Paribas South Korea, said, “BNP Paribas has always been committed to its corporate social responsibility.  We are pleased to celebrate the sixth year of shared dedication with Beautiful Store to helping socially neglected children through this very meaningful annual event.  We hope that the More than Valentine’s charity bazaar will bring warmth and happiness to both visitors and children in need.”

In a collective effort to contribute to a good cause, BNP Paribas employees donated second-hand goods including baby clothes, toys, books and shoes for sale at the charity bazaar.  On the day of the bazaar, BNP Paribas employees will also participate in the bazaar as volunteers to help manage the bazaar.  The proceeds of the event will be donated to support the education of the underprivileged children in the Jongno district of Seoul.
