Additionally, BNP Paribas Cardif Life Insurance lowers the burden of insurance premium by focusing on offering only the essential coverage. For example, the monthly premiums for a 40-year old male subscriber are KRW 3,600, KRW 3,400, and KRW 4,800 for hospitalization, surgery, and accident insurance respectively. For a female, the rates are KRW 3,900, KRW 4,700, and KRW 2,400, respectively.  A 40-year old man paying a monthly premium of KRW 3,400 subscribed to ‘(NP) Health First Surgery Protection’ would be able to receive from KRW 100,000 up to KRW 3 million in case of a surgery.

Han Jeong-Soo, Head of Product Management department in BNP Paribas Cardif Life Insurance, said: “‘(NP) Health First Protection’ products have been developed to allow subscribers customize their policies essential to themselves. We hope that these products will be a welcome option with high cost efficiency for subscribers who are hesitating about subscribing to a protection product with unnecessary coverage, high premium or those already insured who wish to supplement the insufficient coverage for a specific period.”

‘(NP) Health First Protection’ can be subscribed through the mobile application ‘Breeze’ provided by Standard Chartered Bank Korea, which is one of bancassurance partners of BNP Paribas Cardif Life Insurance. The products are available for people between the age of 19 and 60 with a policy period 5 years (nonrenewal type), and the type of premium payment can be selected either single payment or monthly payment during the full period of coverage with a choice of pure guarantee or maturity refund type.

To celebrate the launch of the new products, a giveaway event will be held from 26 September to 30 November 2016. 200 new subscribers to one of protection insurance products offered by BNP Paribas Cardif Life Insurance’s bancassurance partners during the event period will be offered a mobile coffee voucher on a first-come-first served basis.
