BNP Paribas’ 5th annual event to promote healthy lifestyle as well as to foster young tennis talents
BNP Paribas announces today that ‘2017 BNP Paribas Amateur Open’ held from 2 to 10 September at Bucheon, Mokdong, Sungnam and Suwon tennis courts was successfully completed and attended by around 1,600 amateur tennis players.
BNP Paribas Amateur Open was organised as part of the BNP Paribas Group’ passion for tennis where the Group has been supporting at all levels of tennis globally for over 40 years. The tournament has been held in Korea for five consecutive years since 2013 to promote healthier life style through tennis.
Besides the main competitions, BNP Paribas continued its tradition of supporting next generations. Free tennis lessons were offered to 100 children aged 7-12 including those from the underprivileged backgrounds. Furthermore, ‘Junior Tennis Scholarships’ were given to encourage young tennis talents.

We will continue communicating with local communities through tennis and support the development of healthy lifestyle.”
In addition to BNP Paribas Amateur Open, BNP Paribas responsibly engages its employees in four local entities, namely BNP Paribas Seoul Branch, BNP Paribas Securities Korea, BNP Paribas Cardif Life Insurance and BNP Paribas Cardif General Insurance, to give back to the society through various CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) initiatives.
